About RevHub

Ailsa and Rory

Ailsa & Rory

Rory was in Year 9 and needed help building his English writing skills. One night he showed me an essay he'd written. I could see it wasn't quite answering the question, but I couldn't tell him why, or show him how to fix it. That feeling — wanting to help and not having the tools — is why I built RevHub.

I'm not a teacher. I'm a parent. But I knew Years 7 to 9 are when the foundational writing skills get built, the ones everything in senior English depends on. Sentence structure, argument construction, how to actually analyse a text rather than just retell it. By Year 11 there's no time to go back. RevHub exists to build those skills while there's still time to focus on them.

AI has a real role to play in helping kids learn — not by doing the work for them, but by making the support more personal. The Writing Coach reads what your child has written and gives feedback tailored to their specific words and ideas. It points out what's working and shows them where to improve.

I built RevHub as a parent, for parents. If you've ever looked at your child's work and wished you had the tools to help them fix it, this is for you.

Meet Katie

I've known Katie for a long time, and when I started building RevHub, she was one of the first people I talked to about it. She's the kind of teacher who really sees her students — especially the ones who learn differently and need a bit more thought put into how things are explained. I asked her to come on board as our Teaching Consultant, and she said yes.

From Katie

Hi, I'm Katie. I've been working with children for over twenty years, and more than fifteen of those have been as a classroom teacher. I've taught in Australia and the UK, across all age groups from pre-school to Year 8, and I've held leadership roles in primary schools along the way. For the past five years I've specialised in literacy intervention and worked as an English as an Additional Language specialist. The variety in my career has given me a grounding in different curriculums, but more importantly, an understanding of how children actually learn — and that's what I love about RevHub. It's built around the kids who get stuck, the ones who need things explained differently, and that's exactly the corner of teaching I care most about.
